Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A., the most modern and effective hard coal mine in Poland, as well as the domestic leader on the energy coal producers market, generated in the first quarter of 2012 over PLN 477 million revenue, almost 54% more than in the same period in 2011. The consolidated operating profit amounted almost to PLN 119.30 million and the Group’s net profit reached PLN 99.21 million. The operating results for the last quarter were influenced by the launch of mining operations in the Stefanów Field (October 2011) and by an increase in volume of coal allocated for sale (compared to the same quarter of 2011).

Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A., one of the largest and most advanced hard coal mines in Poland and one of the leaders of the domestic market for power coal producers, has completed its investment tasks. In October 2011 the Company started mining operations in the Stefanów Field, obtaining in the fourth quarter 2 million tonnes of commercial coal compared to 1 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. The total production last year amounting to PLN 5,838,400 tonnes exceeded the hitherto record result of 5,800,030 tonnes of 2010.

Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A., a market leader among Poland’s power coal manufacturers and one of the largest and most innovative hard coal mines in Poland, announces that today, on 6 October 2010, the Management Board of the Company has received the documentation on the project of consolidating New World Resources N.V. and LW Bogdanka S.A., as proposed by NWR in relation to NWR announcing a call for shares of LW Bogdanka S.A.

Lubelski Węgiel BOGDANKA S.A., a leader of the Polish market for power coal producers and one of the largest and most advanced hard coal mines in Poland, forecasts that in 2010 the Group shall achieve much better results than previously expected.
The LW BOGDANKA Group predicts revenue on sales at a level of PLN 1,228 million (9.8% more as compared to the previous year), operating profit in the amount of PLN 242 million (6.7% more as compared to the previous year) and net profit in the amount of PLN 201 million (5.3% more than in 2009). The Company plans net commercial coal extraction at the level of nearly 9% higher than that in the previous year. The predicted results will be record-breaking in the LW BOGDANKA Group’s history.

LUBELSKI WĘGIEL BOGDANKA S.A.: RAPID GROWTH IN PROFIT IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2009; THE COMPANY CONFIRMS ITS FINANCIAL FORECASTS FOR 2009
Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka S.A., one of the largest and most advanced hard coal mines in Poland and one of the leaders of the domestic market for power coal producers, recorded an increase in net profit of more than 60% in the first half of 2009, to PLN 83.5 mln. Operating profit in that period increased by almost 50% to PLN 104.5 mln. Revenue on sales increased by more than 5.4% to reach PLN 520.8 mln. The Company’s net margin also increased – after the first half of 2009 it reached 16%, compared to 10.5% in the first half of 2008.
